Here is a basic WoW strategy guide.
Play your character rested whenever possible. Rested characters get twice as many experience points (XP) from killing any mobs that you encounter. By building up your character’s rested bonus to the maximum level over a couple of days, you can potentially finish several quests and collect the double XP bonus the entire time. So remember, the rested bonus is your friend. Why waste time if you don’t have to?
Only do green quests. They offer the best bang for the buck and are simple to carry out. You’ll tend to get killed more often if you try to do quests rated yellow or higher. Your armor will incur more damage, and that means more wasted time as you run back to the closest town for repairs.
While leveling up, avoid instances. While the loot might be good, the truth is you won’t be leveling in an instance as quickly as you would on a normal quest or two in the same amount of time.
Do multiple quests at the same time. Get all the offered quests you can find when first entering a zone. Read through the quest details and try to cluster together as many quests that are in the same direction at once. This will save you loads of time running from one end of the zone to the other trying to finish quests.
Travel to other zones. If you have completed all the easier quests in your own race’s zones, do not be afraid to travel to another part of the continent or even to the other continent to aim at those easy green quests. You will find that the extra XP from completing so many quests quickly will turn you into a power leveler in no time.
