If you’re new to playing a Druid, you’re new to shapeshifting. Today, I’m going to break down the various forms that Druid gets while leveling up, what their uses are and how they’re unique compared to other forms. Here we go!

Humanoid Form

This, as you can probably guess, is the standard form that you start in, just like all characters. Why did I include it? Well, because it’s important to realize that you’re not restricted to just one form that you’ll aquire as you go. It’s useful to switch back into this form because you can do anything while in it, though your other forms are more specialized. For instance, when I was raiding Feral DPS, I’d often jump back into caster form to cast Tranquility and other spells when needed. Always keep in mind that this form has it’s value too.

Bear Form

Bear Form is gained at level 10, though it’s not going to be optimal for leveling until around level 25-30 when you’re tanking multiple mobs. Bear Form gives you an increase to your armor class and makes you like a defensive warrior. Even at level 10, one can already see that the Druid in World of Warcraft is a versatile opponent.

Aquatic Form

Aquatic Form is gained at level 16 and performs one simple function. It let’s you breathe and swim fast underwater. This can be useful for travel and also some underwater quests and dungeons. Don’t forget about this at level 16. It has many applications. It can even be useful during PvP like Arathi Basin when swimming!

Cat Form

Cat form is a huge benchmark for the druid. Melee DPS is now possible, and with a little work and information about the correct builds and ability rotations, you can even start to compete with Rogues for damage. When you hit level 20, Cat Form is automatically given to you and should be used to level all the way to 80 if you’re looking for the fastest and most efficient path.

Travel Form

With the recent patch, Travel form is now learned at level 16. Damn you young kids! When I leveled my druid i had to wait until level 30 to run fast! Anyway, this form allows you to travel faster on land and makes up for the fact that you don’t have a mount yet. If you’ve ever played a Shaman, this form is very similar to Ghost Wolf and should be used when turning in quests, running to new locations, etc. However, unlike Ghost Wolf, this form is undispellable by casters so this makes for optimal flag running vehicle for Warsong Gulch as well.

Dire Bear Form

A bigger, badder Bear Form. =) achieved at level 40.

These are all of the basic druid forms you can achieve in World of Warcraft. Other forms are available, like Flight Form at level 60 (let’s you fly!), Moonkin Form (end of balance tree) and Tree of Life form (end of restoration tree), but those are explained with tool tips in your talent tree. Have fun with your druid in World of Warcraft!

So what is World of Warcraft Stormwind and how important is it to the game itself and will a Wow levelling guide help you in regard to Stormwind.

Well as all of us who play the game know that Stormwind stands as the last bastion of Human power in Azeroth. Rebuilt after the Second War, Stormwind is a marvel of Human design and engineering. Stormwind’s guards keep the peace within the city’s walls, while the young king,

Stormwind is located north of Elwynn Forest on Azeroth’s northwest, and is the largest human city of Azeroth. However it also influences other territories, which include Elwynn Forest and Northshire Valley, the Redridge Mountains, Westfall and Duskwood. The city is named for the occasional squalls in the mountains around the city.

Stormwind firmly supports and defends the interests of the Alliance and its warriors, priests, paladins and mages have all served in the three wars with the Horde. Primarily a human city, there are still a fair number of high elves and Ironforge dwarves, as well as a smattering of night elves and gnomes dwelling here as well. Stormwind City is the home of the Academy of Arcane Sciences, the only remaining school of wizardry in the east, all of the above making it one of major building blocks that makes Wow so very special.

So whilst it has no bearing on your levelling guide we all know that without World of Warcaft stormwind there wouldn’t be a World of Warcraft. However though saying all of that with a levelling guide you will be able to complete all your tasks so much quicker including the ones that take place in Stormwind.

So if you are seriously interested about World of Warcraft and what a WORLD OF WARCRAFT levelling guide can do to improve your performance why not visit the Duggie Dungeon Blog. Also why not check this WoW LEVELLING GUIDE out, well worth the click of a button.

Gaining reputation with them is a process much like gaining reputation with other WoW races: accomplishing quests, repeated cloth turn-ins and running the Alterac Valley battleground.

Quests

Step 1
Create a troll or orc character, if you do not already have a Horde character. You will enter the game in the Valley of Trials, in southern Durotar. If you create an undead, blood elf, tauren, or death knight character, you will need to travel from their starting locations to the Valley of Trials.

Step 2
Find and do every quest offered by a Horde non-player character (NPC). The vast majority of Horde quests offer some gain in Darkspear Toll reputation, from a few to a lot of points. Following the quest progression will lead your character north to the Horde city Orgrimmar.

Step 3
Travel to the next adjacent Horde area from Orgrimmar and continue questing. From here, your character may travel by land or take the zeppelins to other places around Azeroth and find more quests. Some key places for earning large amounts of Darkspear Troll reputation are The Barrens, Ashenvale, Malaka’Jin, Stranglethorn Vale, and Zangarmarsh.

Cloth Turn-in

Step 1
Collect a stack of 60 wool and turn it in to the Horde Cloth Quartermaster Vehena, located in Orgrimmar in the Valley of Spirits.

Step 2
Collect a stack of 60 silk and turn it in to Vehena.

Step 3
Collect a stack of 60 mageweave and turn it in to Vehena.

Step 4
Collect a stack of 60 runecloth and turn it in to Vehena.

Step 5
Continue collecting runecloth in stacks of 20, and turn them in to Vehena. After turning in the first stack of runecloth, the quests then becomes repeatable for that cloth. Runecloth drops from level 51-60 humanoid creatures you defeat in combat. Some key places to find these humanoid creatures are Felwood, Western Plaguelands, Eastern Plaguelands, Azshara, Silithus, and Dire Maul. Another method for collecting runecloth is by buying it from the Auction House, although this can be rather expensive. It’s up to you to decide whether the cost of runecloth is worth the gain in reputation this way.

Alterac Valley Battleground

Step 1
Collect armor scraps from the Alterac Valley battleground matches (which you can join once your character is level 51 or higher) and turn them into one of the Horde representatives, either inside or outside of the battleground. The main Horde faction representing Alterac Valley is the Frostwolf Clan, and most of the reputation from these turn-ins will go towards increasing your character’s standing with them. However, with each stack of items turned in, your character will also receive a smaller amount of reputation for all other Horde factions, including Darkspear Trolls. This method earns reputation slightly slower than the previous two, but it’s dependent on how often your character engages in Alterac Valley matches. The Alterac Valley battleground may be entered from Orgrimmar, by speaking to the female orc battlemaster Kartra Bloodsnarl, found with the other battlemasters at the Hall of the Brave in the valley of Honor. The actual entrance is in the Alterac Mountains, north-east of the Horde town of Tarren Mill.

Step 2
Collect storm crystals and turn them in here.

Step 3
Collect Stormpike Soldier’s Blood and turn them in here.

Skill: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:
Internet connection
Active World of Warcraft subscription
A Horde character (troll, blood elf, orc, tauren, undead or death knight)

Tips:
If you have another character you play that is already Exalted with the Darkspear Trolls, send any runecloth that character gathers to your other characters who have not yet reached Exalted status. If your character belongs to a guild, barter with your guildmates for their excess runecloth. Find a guildmate who is also currently building their Darkspear Troll reputation and team with them for Alterac Valley matches.

Whether Alliance or Horde, you’ll need to find the sometimes elusive NPC’s to train your cooking skill starting from 0 up to the limit of 450. This guide will tell you everything you need to know from the first time you train cooking until you train your Grandmaster cooking skill.

Before starting the WoW cooking guide it is important to note one thing: If you intend on taking up fishing at any time it would be wise to level it along with your cooking. Cooking provides many opportunities to gain skill ups from your fishing catch.

Newbie World of Warcraft Cooking Trainer (Skill must be 75):

Alliance & Horde: All of the major starting cities have cooking trainers to introduce you to the wonderful world of cooking. If you don’t already know where the cooking trainer is, just ask a guard to point you to them. They’ll kindly mark your map allowing you to easily find the trainer.

Expert World of Warcraft Cooking Trainer (Skill must be 150):

Alliance: Visit Shadowprey Village in Desolace.

Horde: Visit Silverwind Refuge in Ashenvale.

Alliance & Horde: If you don’t feel like making the run, check the auction house and for a premium price you can buy the book to skill up.

Artisan Cooking NPC (Skill must be 225):

Alliance & Horde: Head to Gadgetzan. A quest was once required to train this level of skill. Path 3.1 changed this so that the quest is no longer required. Now you can train Artisan cooking the same way in which you’ve trained your other cooking skill increases. The quest is still available, however, and now rewards you with a unique recipe: “Clamlette Magnifique”.

Master Cooking Skill (Skill must be 225):

Alliance: Head to Honor Hold and look for the NPC “Gaston”

Horde: Head to Thrallmar and look for the NPC “Baxter”

Buy the master chef book and memorize it to begin your journey to master chef.

Grandmaster Cooking Skill (Skill must be 275):

Alliance: Head to Brom Brewbaster in Valgarde Inn (Howling Fjord). You can also train Grandmaster cooking in Borean Tundra with the NPC Rollick MacKreel.

Horde: Train with either Orn Tenderhoof in Warsong Hold (Borean Tundra) or Thomas Kolichio (Howling Fjord).

Alliance & Horde: Should you get to Dalaran before ready to train Grandmaster fishing there is a Grandmaster World of Warcraft cooking trainer willing to train you. Ask a guard for directions.

In WoW, you’ll encounter many mysteries in which each dungeon will help you enhance your capabilities and help you to master each skills you have and level up your character. Taking notes of the WoW dungeon guide would give you lots of information regarding the instance, world, and raid dungeons.

An instance dungeon is the one that enable players to create a unique spawn for each group of adventurers. Whoever creates the spawn will also be the one who can play on it. That created spawn will become theirs exclusively. It is like playing a private venue on the selected group that you like. In this dungeon, although they are playing in a group, each one can also have the benefits of a single player role playing experience. Though this dungeon may be a lot dangerous, but because of the treasures that they will find, the group may have a hard time deciding whether to stop or drop the game or continue the quest because rewards awaits.

Another dungeon is situated along the Zoram Strand of Ashenvale. It is called the Blackfathom Depths, a once splendid temple dedicated to the night elves’ moon-goddess, Elune. However, the temples were destroyed and sank beneath the waves of the Veiled sea. By then, it remained untouched not until drawn by the ancient power. This happening gives rise to the naga and the satyrs. These two will unleash the mysteries trapped in the dungeon’s past. Aku’mai, the well-known ancient beast took the remnants of the ancient temple as his residence.

The mystery of each dungeon brings cold and shaken hearts to the warriors who are seeking to unveil the story of each ruin. A real courage is needed in order to face what lies ahead of the darkness or even gamble life to death in order to satisfy human need for one to be able to go on of what life really is.

If you’ve been playing World of Warcraft for any period of time, then you’re probably aware of the many different roles that Druids can excel at. Druids can fill any necessary role when doing dungeons or group quests in WoW, due to the fact that they have three very different talent specializations to choose from. In this article we’re going to talk about the three different roles a Druid can play in World of Warcraft.

The Balance Tree

The Balance Talent Tree for Druids is the choice for you if you desire to be a ranged damage dealer. Balance Druids are a lot like other ranged casting classes such as Mages, Warlocks or Shadow Priests. They rely on spell power, intellect for their mana pools and spirit for their mana regeneration. A well geared Balance Druid can easily do top damage in a raid environment and brings many beneficial buffs to all of the members of the raid such as improved haste through your Improved Moonkin Form talent. You’ll spend most of your time in Moonkin Form for its increase to you damage output.

The Feral Combat Tree

Feral druids have two ways they can go with their specialization. One way is to go for a tanking specialization. A Feral Druid who wishes to tank is going to spend a lot of time in Bear form due to its improved defenses and higher health pool, allowing you to take the kind of damage that bosses in dungeons and raids can put out. This spec is highly recommended for people who like to be blamed and yelled at for everybody dying in the group when you lose aggro. This eventuality will usually happen because some overzealous damage dealer goes crazy and doesn’t know how or care to watch their own threat, but regardless of this, you will usually get the blame.

Your other option as a Feral Druid is to be a close combat damage dealer. With this option you’ll spend your time in Cat Form for the most part. Cat form for Feral Druids is similar in a lot of ways to playing the Rogue class. You’re dependent on an energy bar to cast your attacks. You also rely a lot on sneaking up on enemies and doing burst damage with high damage from critical strikes. Your most important stats will be attack power and critical strike chance/agility.

The Restoration Tree

The Restoration Druids (referred to as Resto Druids) are the ones responsible for healing in groups and raids. Your talents revolve around maximizing and improving your healing.

The form that you’ll use when healing is called Tree of Life. In this form you look like a walking tree… It’s actually pretty cool, especially if you get the Teldrassil Sproutling which looks like a miniature version of you in your Tree Form.

Resto Druids are only less sought after than Feral Tanks, as there is a shortage of both Tanks and Healers at the moment. Much like Feral Tanks, you will enjoy the healing specialization if you enjoy being blamed for people dying. This is usually because they’re doing something wrong, but it’s easier to blame the tank or healer than admit that you’re doing something wrong.

Wrath of the Lich King in World of Warcraft will introduce players to many different flight points. This is one of the most popular topics when a new expansion is released by Blizzard Entertainment. In this helpful and informative guide, you will be introduced to the various flight points that will be available to players that will be engaging in activity in this cold, frozen wasteland to the North of all of the other lands in WoW.

Borean Tundra

When visiting the Borean Tundra, you will have three separate flight points to choose from. This is a relatively large area that is located in the southwest region of Northrend. If you are in the level range of sixty eight to seventy two, and are an Alliance character, you can get a flight path at an area that is called “Valiance Keep”, “Fizzcrank Airstrip”. If you are a Horde character, you can get a flight path at “Warsong Hold”, Bor’gorok Outpost”, Taunka’le Village”. If you want to visit in an area that is considered to be “Neutral”, your flight path will be located at “Amber Ledge”, “Transitus Shield”, and “Unu’pe”.

Wintergrasp

If you will be in the area of Wintergrasp, which hosts play to characters that are level seventy seven to level eighty, then you will be pleased to know that there is one flight path available for each faction of Alliance and Horde. If you are a Horde character, you can visit the flight master at “Warsong Camp”. If you are an Alliance character, you can find your flight master at “Valiance Landing Camp”.

Dragonblight

If you are level seventy one to seventy four, you may find yourself in Dragonblight participating in the Raid of Naxxramas, or Chamber of the Aspects. Then again, you may be over there battling in the Dungeons of Ahn’kahet or Azjol-Nerub. Whatever the case may be, it will be important to know and understand where the flight points are in this area. If you are looking for a “Neutral” area, you can get a flight at either “Wyrmrest Temple” or “Moa’ki Harbor”. If your faction is Alliance, then you can get your flight point at one of the following three locations: “Wintergarde Keep”, “Fordragon Hold”, or “Stars’ Rest”. If your faction is the Horde, then you can choose from one of the following three: “Venomspite”, “Agmar’s Hammer”, or “Kor’kron Vanguard”.

Grizzly Hills

If you are level seventy three to seventy five, and are interested in having a little fun in the Dungeon called “Drak’Tharon Keep”, you will find that there are two flight areas available for each faction. In the Horde, you can choose from “Camp Oneqwah” or “Conquest Hold”. If you are playing with the Alliance faction, your points for flight are either “Westfall Brigade Encampment” or “Amberpine Lodge”.

Howling Fjord

Levels sixty eight to seventy two may find themselves in the area of Howling Fjord for a little fun and entertainment. Here, you can hang out and get a little action in the Dungeons of “Utgarde Keep” and “Utgarde Pinnacle”. There are four different flight paths available for the Horde faction, and these are: “Vengeance Landing”, “Camp Winterhoof”, “Apothecary Camp”, and “New Agamand”. If you are an Alliance character, you will be able to find flight paths at “Valgarde”, “Westguard Keep” and “Fort Wildervar”. “Neutral” has a flight area too and it is called “Kamagua”.

Crystalsong

If you are visiting Crystalsong, which is an area that is appropriate for levels seventy four to seventy six, there is one flight path for each faction, and one for the “Neutral”. The “Neutral” path is “Dalaran”. Alliance is “Windrunner’s Overlook”, and the Horde is “Sunreaver’s Command”.

Zul’Drak

This is a relatively neutral area in Northrend that will be available to individuals who participate in Wrath of the Lich King. Levels seventy four to seventy seven will frequent this area. The most common activity in this area will be the “Gundrak” Dungeon. There are only five flight points and they are all considered to be “Neutral”. These include:

o “Ebon Watch”
o “Gundrak”
o “Light’s Breach”
o “Zim’Torga”
o “The Argent Stand”

Sholazar Basin

In the west of Northrend, you may stumble upon the Sholazar Basin which is appropriate for characters that are level seventy five to seventy eight. This, too, is a “Neutral” area and the flight points are:

o “River’s Heart”
o “Nesingwary Base Camp”

Icecrown

If you are level seventy seven to eighty, you may visit Icecrown. If you are interested in obtaining flight points, they are considered to be “Neutral” and are as follows:

o “Death’s Rise”
o “The Argent Vanguard”
o “The Shadow Vault”
o “Crusaders’ Pinnacle”

Storm Peaks

Now, if you are a level seventy six to eighty, you may stroll up to the Dungeons of “Halls of Lightning” or “Halls of Stone” in the area of Storm Peaks. The flight points for this particular area for the Alliance are “Frosthold”, and “Brann’s Base-Camp”. For the Horde, you will be able to get flights at “Camp Tunka’lo” and “Grom’arsh Crash-Site”. If you are looking for “Neutral” flight points, then you will need to visit one of the following: “K3″, “Ulduar”, or “Bouldercrag’s Refuge”.

It is important to take note of these flight points in Northrend as part of Wrath of the Lich King in World of Warcraft so that you can maneuver from one area to the next with ease.

Starting in Coldridge valley in Dun Morogh the Dwarfs immediately benefit from using ranged skills against the local beasts and trolls. In a starting area that really does benefit from “standing well back,” it is possible for Dwarfs to level up quite quickly.

Ironforge is the second most popular racial base for Alliance on most servers, and is well laid out with flight point located in the central chamber and the tram to take you through the mountains to Stormwind. I am not going to go through all the quests that Dwarfs can take (see my free guide for that) Instead I will concentrate on why you might want to play a dwarf in the first place. Here is a list of the pro’s and cons of playing a Dwarf in Warcraft. First the Pro’s.

Stoneform – Removes some of the D.o.T effects that can harm you, as well as giving a decent 10% bonus to armour. At high level a 10% bonus really makes a huge difference, and against certain mobs the removal of D.o.T is a great undebuff.

Gun Specialization – A 1% improvement on critical chance that stacks. If you are a hunter this improvement will really make a difference, and many hinter talents pass this benefit onto your pet.

Frost Resistance – Again a useful gain here. Very applicable to certain areas and mobs, but an advantage none the less.

Find Treasure – This adds an option to the list of possible searches that you can choose from your mini map (normally in the top right of your screen). This can give you the jump on other races when it comes to getting some decent loot. It is rumoured that this will work with the 4.0 skill of archaeology as well. A handy thing to know.

Mace Specialization – Ideal for Paladins. Uncommon maces (or better) often confer decent stat bonuses to the skills best suited to this class.

So a reasonable set of bonuses, however, for any casting class other than Paladin there is little there. With Shaman and Mage being introduced as playable classes for Dwarfs in 4.0 expect a major change to these buffs. You rarely see Dwarf Priests now, and this set of buffs shows you why. This will change for sure.

A great way to earn gold in World of Warcraft for players new to the game and still at a low level is to farm wool cloth. This is still a great technique for both Horde and Alliance characters alike from Level 15 and above and without the need to train in the Tailoring profession. But where are the best places to farm wool cloth?

Wool cloth is always in demand from both Horde and Alliance alike. Not only is it used by Tailors, but anyone with the secondary profession of First Aid will need it to level up by making bandages. In addition, many factions accept wool cloth as a tribute, allowing those players that donate wool to level up in reputation.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, wool, like all cloth in the World of Warcraft is dropped by humanoids. So, to farm wool cloth you’ll need to find a mob at around level 15-30 and grind them as efficiently as you can. This means that you need to be at least 3-4 levels above the mob you select to grind.

When grinding mobs, it’s always best to make sure your gear is also up to snuff and that you prepare ahead of time by making sure you have plenty of bag space. It also doesn’t do any harm to load up on good quality food and drink to keep your health up to max. After all, dying just slows you down and damages your gear.

Now, although you may stumble upon the occasional mob that drops wool cloth, to farm wool effectively, you’ll want to find mobs at the right level that have a good rate of cloth drop and that respawn a relatively good rate. Blizzard are always tweaking the game and NPC loot tables (what they carry and the frequency of drop), but I’ve listed below some of my favorite locations for the farming of wool cloth.

Dungeons

Ragefire Chasm has very high drop rates.

Stockades is the best for the Alliance

Territory

Thousand Needles. The centaur north of Freewind Post have a very decent drop rate for wool.

Ghostlands. The undead near the mouth of Deatholme are a fair source of wool, as are the undead within it.

Good hunting!

Tech head Gnomes originate in Coldridge Valley with the Dwarfs. It is perhaps because these races share this area that Ironforge continue to have an active role and decent population on most servers.

Coldridge, with its mix of beasts and humanoid mobs is best suited to ranged attacks. However, rogues offer a decent second choice, being able to get in amongst groups that would otherwise overwhelm a character without pulling too much aggro is a decent second choice to popping them off at long range as a hunter. Luckily Gnomes make ideal Rogues.

Getting to level 6 or 7 in the starting area is a quick and enjoyable affair, especially for those who have not played a ranged class before, or who are trying the rogue for the first time. The quests in the rest of the Dun Morogh region are also great for levelling either skinning, leatherwork or engineering.

Rather than go through the list of quests to level, I will concentrate instead on the advantages and disadvantages of playing this race. Looking first at the racial perks.

Escape Artist – Gives the ability to remove any movement impairing effects. Very useful especially when up against hunters (who use traps) and magic users who will try and freeze or root you.

Expansive Mind – increases intellect by 5%. Useful for magic/mana users as this increases the amount of mana you will have. Warlocks – and with 4.0 Priests will benefit from this.

Arcane Resistance – This bonus reduces the chance to be hit from Arcane spells by 2%. Again a decent anti mage ability, which along with Escape Artist makes the Gnome a decent anti-mage race

Engineering +15%. – This is a massive boost to a profession. Given that many buffs (such as the Draenei Jewelcrafting buff) only give 5% you can see how much effect his has.

All in all, Gnomes are a specialist class.. If Humans are jack-of-all trades, then Gnomes are best suited to counter mage skills, and with Engineering almost a no-brainer as a profession. Rogue makes the most sense as a class, with Mage being a good second choice.

Looking forward, expect major changes to this class with “Cataclysm” and 4.0. With Dwarfs benefiting from archaeology already there is a risk of the two classes, that are often compared side by side, becoming imbalanced. Expect Blizzard to either improve the existing Gnome skill set further, or make the Gnome a more diverse class to play. Myself, I prefer specialization. In the end every race and class risks ending up like every other. It is the differences that makes them so interesting to play and explore. I hope Blizzard don’t continue to mix and match all race and class skills together, otherwise the fun of exploring new ideas risks being lost altogether.
